Summary

I frequently pull various types of trailers from small to large. I haul lawn mowers on a small trailer, I have a cargo trailer, a horse trailer, etc. Some farm trailers which require a drawbar but no hitch ball. I end up "throwing these drawbars on the floor behind my seats, on the floor of the pickup bed and wherever it is handy. I finally thought I can design a simple storage rack that I can bolt to the side of my pickup bed so I can grab whatever I need without searching all over the place.

Great idea and nicely designed. I didn't know I needed this until I saw it! Thanks. The only thing I changed was I added four 11/16" holes on the bottom side to hold some 5/8" hitch pins.

I was thinking about that. Great addition. Thanks for your kind comments.

We need to design it to connect into the quick attach system above this....

Thought about, but it seemed to me I preferred to keep that option open. My son pointed out that the drawbars could be stolen fairly easily, but I'm not going to worry about that. I live in an area where we don't have a lot of crime. So we shall see.....

I know this is not an ideal solution to the theft concern, but you could use a cable passed through the pin holes and a lock to lock them together and to the frame... until one of us clever folks designs a more elegant solution.
