The CrossFire PRO CNC plasma machine was designed to be a complete out-of-the box solution for CNC plasma cutting. It includes everything that is needed to begin making parts with the exception of a computer and a plasma cutter. Below is a snapshot of what is included with your basic machine purchase:

The CrossFire PRO is wide enough to support and cut a full 4’ width sheet. A full 4’x8’ sheet can be placed on the machine and passed through it for cutting. We recommend using adjustable height stands to support a full sheet when passing through the machine.

IHS is the system that automatically senses the top surface of the material to ensure that the torch pierces at the perfect height for each cut. It works on wet, painted, or rusted surfaces.

The automatic Torch Height Control unit is an electronic module that is wired to your plasma cutter and the PRO electronics enclosure for the purpose of maintaining the same torch-tip-to-material distance during cutting. This is required when cutting large sheets of material that may not be perfectly flat and also to account for material warpage during cutting.

If you plan to cut small and medium sized parts 15”x15” or less, then you may not need to purchase the THC module because the Initial Height Sense system will be sufficient for maintaining your torch-tip-to-material distance over a small area. If you plan to cut artwork and signage out of thin gauge material, we recommend adding the THC unit.

Yes, the front panel has an expansion port so that accessories such as limit switches and air scribers can be added by the owner. In the future, we plan to release add-on accessories to the machine that can be connected using this expansion port.

The Floating head Z axis was specifically designed for plasma use only and is not compatible with a wood router.

Yes add-on accessories such as the laptop stand and THC can be purchased at a later date. Keep in mind that the price is discounted and the shipping is free when purchasing add-ons bundled together with the PRO.

The same blow-back start plasma cutters that are compatible with the CrossFire are compatible with the PRO. See our Plasma Cutter compatibility page for more details. The torch lead must be at least 16’ long to be used on the machine. If your torch lead is shorter than 16’ contact your plasma cutter manufacturer to see if they can supply a torch with a longer lead. Note: All Vipercut 30i machines come standard with a 13’ torch lead and cannot be used on the PRO without purchasing a longer torch lead.

The maximum plate thickness that can be supported by this machine is 1" (25.4mm) steel plate. While the CrossFire PRO CNC machine is capable of supporting material of up to 1" thickness for cutting, the maximum cutting thickness for your setup will be dependent on the specific plasma cutter that you are using. We advise you to refer to your respective plasma cutter owners manual to obtain relevant information related to maximum cutting thickness.

Langmuir Systems will keep an inventory of all replacement parts that go into a CrossFire PRO. Any necessary replacement parts will be shipped to you free of charge while your machine is still under factory warranty. After the warranty expires, simply email support@langmuirsystems.com for current pricing on replacement items.

Due to the high cost, we have decided not to offer an upgrade kit to convert a CrossFire to a PRO at this time.

The CrossFire PRO ships via UPS ground in three separate boxes weighing approximately 130lbs, 60lbs, and 44lbs.

All Langmuir Systems products are covered by a 12 month limited warranty on hardware and 6 month limited warranty on electronics. The terms of the warranty are listed below:

1. Warranty benefits only apply to the original purchaser and expire if goods are resold. You must provide proof of purchase and your machine's unique serial number (if applicable) via email before a warranty claim may be filed.
2. The buyer has 30 days after delivery to report and request to receive any missing items. Langmuir Systems will ship the missing items to the buyer within 10 business days. Langmuir Systems has the right to refuse replacement of items to any buyer that it suspects may not be truthful. The buyer is responsible for the replacement of any missing items after the 30 day period expires.
3. Langmuir Systems guarantees the goods received to be defect free for a period of 12 months for mechanical hardware and 6 months for electronics. Items that meet the following conditions will be replaced free of charge:
   1. Items that are received in defective and unusable condition.
   2. Items that become defective and unusable after use as a result of a manufacturing, design, or material defect.
4. The warranty does not cover the following types of defects:
   1. Defects that do not negatively affect the items functionality. Examples may include scratches, dings, dents, and surface abrasions.
   2. Defects that are caused by improper assembly.
   3. Defects that are caused by improper use.
   4. Defects that are caused by inadequate or incorrect routine maintenance.
   5. Defects that are caused by improper storage of the item or exposure of the item to the elements.
   6. Defects that are caused by normal wear and tear.
5. If a damaged or defective item is covered by the warranty, Langmuir Systems reserves the right to request that the defective item be shipped back before supplying a replacement. Langmuir Systems will supply a shipping label to cover the expense of the return shipment. The Buyer is responsible for handling and packaging. Langmuir Systems will ship either a refurbished or brand new replacement item within 5 business days of receiving the defective item.

All products sold directly by Langmuir Systems are eligible for return and refund. The terms of the return and refund policy are listed below:

1. Only the original buyer of the item is eligible to return the item for a refund. Proof of purchase is required in order to be eligible for a refund.
2. A return must be requested within 30 calendar days following the delivery of the item. Return requests after the eligibility period will be denied.
3. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling costs associated with shipping the item back.
4. Items that are eligible for return must meet all of the following requirements:
   1. The item must be in unused condition.
   2. The item must be free of defects.
   3. The item must be received in the original packaging.
5. Langmuir Systems will inspect the item within 5 business days of receiving it. The buyer will be informed if it passes inspection and thus is eligible for a refund.
6. If Langmuir Systems concludes that the item meets the refund eligibility requirements, a refund for the original transaction amount minus a 20% restocking fee will be issued to the Buyer within 5 business days following the completion of the inspection.
7. 'In person' returns require permission from Langmuir Systems in advance.
