Langmuir Systems Balance Bird Art

Summary

Featuring the three Langmuir Systems product logos, this balanced bird uses the logo cutouts as weight reduction so it can balance on its beak! Preferred Material: 14 ga steel (0.064”), but any gauge smaller than 10 will suffice. The 16mm die (code: 9858) works best for this thickness. Lines for each bend are cutout as part of the weight reduction. For each bend, align the punch tip with the outer edge of the cutout mark. Bends 1&2: Wings Degrees: 135 Notes: Use the edge of the punch and die so the head of the bird is not touched by the bend. Bend 3: Tail Degrees: 120 Notes: Use a curved punch like the goose neck, extreme gooseneck, or standard punch so the wings do not hit the punch as the bird bends backwards. Bend 4: Head Degrees: 90 Notes: Use a 1” punch section and a 1” die section.
