Mag Drill Plates Tools

Summary

Top and bottom plates for a mag drill. These are intended to be used to make a stationary base for a mag drill so it can be used more like a traditional drill. The holes that have threaded rod are sized for tapping 5/8 UNC. The rest of the holes are 2" OC 5/8 to match up with most fab tables - so existing clamps and tools can be used in conjunction with. I modeled this with McMaster-Carr Part# 93335A130 for the threaded rod. It's a 5/8-11 thread. Will probably need some nuts as well. 1/2" or 3/8 plate on top, and 3/16 plate on bottom, but you can use whatever you like. Thicker on top for more magnet force. Weld in some tabs to align the drill. Also recommend a chain or strap to ensure it's held down when the mag is off in case it gets bumped. It's a starting point for building something cool. Enjoy!
