It’s time for another CrossFire Production Update!
We are happy to announce there is still time to purchase add-ons (water trays, laptops, cutters, etc.) you may have missed in your Batch 1 pre-orders. The final day for placing orders for add-ons to ship with your Batch 1 CrossFire machines will be Monday June 4th. Please contact our support team (support@langmuirsystems.com) for ordering.
We’ve been busy setting up our assembly and packaging lines in our 6500 sqft facility- both the assembly and packaging lines are complete. We have built and fabricated all assembly fixtures and shop aides to make assembly and shipping of your Crossfire an accurate and efficient process. We have tested these fixtures with prototype machines to make sure that once the production inventory arrives we can get them to you as soon as possible.
Additionally, we are 50% complete with machining all of the precision gantry rail tubes and lead screws for all of the Batch 1 machines. We decided to bring this work in house so that we can have better control of the accuracy and precision with which these critical parts are made.
We have completed the hardware (nuts, bolts, washers, etc.) packaging and these are ready to be shipped. Each Crossfire package will come with 13 bags of fasteners which are labeled to correspond with specific steps in the updated assembly manual.
We have received all of the electronic components for Batch 1 including the motion control boards, power supplies, drivers and wiring harnesses.
Our initial schedule stated we would begin shipping out Batch 1 machines In June 2018. Unfortunately, we are forced to announce that due to a delay with one of our vendors, we will not be able to meet this goal despite our best efforts to pull in the schedule. We are confident that a majority of our Batch 1 customers will receive shipping notifications for their CrossFire machines and add-ons between July 20 and July 30, 2018.
While there will be a delay in CrossFire shipping, we still plan to ship all Razorweld plasma cutters that were ordered in Batch 1 in June as we will be receiving these cutters to our factory soon.
As well, Batch 2 orders are unaffected by this delay and are still on track for September delivery.
We appreciate everyone who participated in our heavily discounted pre-orders and it is our goal to be as transparent as possible with our customers. We understand that any slip in ship dates is disappointing but hope the value we are providing makes up for the wait.
